History of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy

The Course of Clinical Pharmacy was established in 2003 as a part of the Department of Pharmaceutical Subjects. Among subjects that are taught by this Course are: «Clinical Pharmacy», «Pharmacotherapy», «Laboratory and functional diagnostics», «Pharmacokinetics» for students who study in specialty of «Pharmacy». Associate Professor Klishch I.M. as the Head of the Department was appointed. Besides him Candidates of Medical Sciences Tyurina V.F. and Bigunyak T.V. worked in the Course.

In 2004/2005 study year the Course was renamed into the Department of Clinical Subjects with Clinical Pharmacy because of the beginning of teaching subjects for students in specialty of «Clinical Pharmacy». The staff of the Department was reinforced by highly qualified teachers – Associate Professors Markiv I.M., Gariyan M.P. and Candidates of Medical Sciences Tsyapa Yu.M., Mandziy Z.P.

In 2005/2006 study year because of reorganization the Department was connected to the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy. During this time Department was joined by Professor Yepishyn A.V., Associate Professor Lyhatska V.O., Assistant Korilchuk T.B.

In 2007 on the base of the Course of Clinical Pharmacy, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy was created, that was headed by Professor Klishch I.M.

In 2010 the Department widened with Candidate of Medical Sciences Meretska I.V.

From August 2010 the Department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Samogalska O.Ye.

At this time among the members of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy there are: Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Samogalska O.Ye., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Markiv I.M., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Tyurina V.F., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Meretska I.V., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Mandziy Z.P., Candidate of Medical Sciences, Assistant Lobanets N.V., Assistant Shmanko O.V., Senior Laboratory Assistant Falendish L.R. (2018).
